Sometimes you happen to run across a power source without tabs – especially when playing with used/reconfiguring e.g. 18650 cells.

I built these „charge magnets“ from 6x2mm ring magnets with 2mm hole and 1x6mm end sleeves.
It needed three different sizes to empirically determine the right size so the end sleeve would fit.

The electrical contact is quite good:
